FedEx Upgrades Guard Security

Project Overview

FedEx is one of the most well known delivery service businesses in the world employing thousands of people throughout the United States. To be more exact, over 280,000 total workers! With this many people involved in so many different roles while being responsible for so many packages, security is a very important factor in their operations. With this in mind, FedEx has built multiple guard shacks at each of their large distribution centers for purposes of keeping their shipments secure. However, FedEx was recently experiencing possible security concerns within their guard shack in their Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin location. This is where Century Fence was able to step in and find a solution for FedEx.

Request From Business

In order to resolve the safety issue that FedEx was experiencing, Century Fence was called upon to help FedEx. It was made clear they needed ensure no one could enter any of their guard shacks without the proper security clearance. It was discussed that people were entering through the exit doors of their building which caused concerns to many of their workers. Thankfully, no damages had occurred because of this, although FedEx did not want to take any chances in the future, and ended up making the right decision on requesting that a turnstile and a galvanized chain link fence installation.

Our Solution

Once FedEx gave Century Fence the final approval to get started on the project, Century Fence’s team was ready on site to start installing their new turnstile and gate. Just before everything started to get put together in place, Century Fence’s crew had come to find out that the gate and turnstile did not fit as designed. Without hesitation, the team reconfigured the set up in order to fit their existing concrete slab.

Final Results

When everyone had finished installing the properly adjusted turnstile and gate, the results turn out exactly what FedEx was looking for. Just like Century Fence’s last project with FedEx, they were once again very pleased with the final results. The new enclosure upgrades the integrity of the guard shack. This investment will ultimately help FedEx continue to function at a high level with the help of Century Fence.
